(The Start of a) Comic Book

Here are the 4 pages that I have been working on for the last couple of days... it had to be kind of a rush job. I had a lot of fun coming up with the characters, probably wasted too much time coming up with a whole story and the characters, only to have it not read or be presented at all in the comic itself. Perhaps I'll do something with these characters in the future. Disfunctional/Ironic superpowers is the name of the game, without further ado...

  1. I absolutely love the ideas/designs you've come up with for the characters here. This is a book that would be a ton of fun to read.

In terms of the art: First page is great. Normally I would caution against the way you handled the bottom 3 panels, but the way you use the characters gaze keeps the eye moving as it should. That kind of panel positioning is really tough to pull off, gotta say I'm impressed. For the second page I would consider framing the character in panel 3 in the noose. Also, one suggestion that I came across over the summer would be that you try to avoid changing scenes in the midst of a page. Don't have lot to say about page three. I'm a little lost on the last panel, but at the same time I feel like I get the idea. Fourth page, I'm distracted by the 1st panel, largely because it's breaking the panel. This draws a lot of attention, and I follow him down into the 3rd panel, realize that's not where I'm supposed to be, then come back up to the 1st. Then I move to the second panel, and since the gaze in the second panel goes back to the 1st I get a little trapped at the beginning. All in all I'd say you should be pretty proud of this one. Some great work here.
